Ty Lawson could return from a heel injury under a minute restriction on Wednesday as his Denver Nuggets host the San Antonio Spurs, according to The Denver Post. Dealing with an injured plantar fascia, Lawson has missed seven of the last eight games.
Ty Lawson injury: Nuggets guard could see restricted minutes vs. Spurs
Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson could play restricted minutes on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

Head coach George Karl told The Denver Post that Lawson could play 15-20 minutes against the Spurs. Lawson's last game came on March 27, when the Nuggets fell 100-99 to San Antonio, but that outing split a three- and four-game stretch where the point guard sat. Lawson said his heel feels better comparatively to that game, but his recovery is still a "work-in-progress."
Karl said that Lawson appeared apprehensive during practice on Tuesday.
“I don’t think he took many chances, but he did run up and down the court,” Karl told The Denver Post. “He doesn’t seem like he was confident. Knowing Ty, he probably wouldn’t try (overly aggressive play) until he’s in the game.”
Lawson is averaging a team-leading 16.7 points and 6.9 assists per game for the 53-24 Nuggets, who rely upon the speedy point guard to push the pace for the NBA’s highest-scoring team in terms of points in the paint. Denver’s 15-game winning streak came to an end in the team’s third game of Lawson’s absence because of the plantar fascia issue.
