The New York Knicks are down 2-1 in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Indiana Pacers, and now head coach Mike Woodson says he needs to go back to the drawing board. Those were Woodson's words after the Knicks were only able to muster 71 points on 34 percent shooting. Woodson added that his team's offense needed more "pop."

Knicks head coach Mike Woodson said his team’s offense moved slowly in their Game 3 loss to the Pacers.
"It was kind of like the first game that we lost at home to these guys," Woodson said. "Ball was moving slowly offensively and we were a step behind in terms of second-chance buckets, and those are types of things against this team we have to eliminate."
While the Knicks struggled from all over, they most notably struggled from three, where they were just 3-for-11. During the season, they attempted close to 29 attempts per game and connected on 10 of those attempts. Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel said his team’s goal on defense wasn’t just to make the Knicks shoot contested threes, but to keep them from shooting them at all.
“We know that if we take the 3-ball away from this team they’re going to struggle to score.” Vogel said.
The Pacers’ efforts worked, as Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points, but no other Knick scored in double figures. One bright spot for New York was the return of Amar’e Stoudemire, who scored seven points in limited minutes. Woodson added that he didn’t think Smith played too badly considering how he was feeling earlier in the day, and said he expects him to be ready to go for Game 4.
