Spurs vs. Grizzlies, NBA Playoffs 2013: Duncan again guides San Antonio in overtime win

Tim Duncan’s 24 points, 10 rebounds and five assists helped lead the Spurs to within one win of their fifth trip to the NBA Finals.

He's 37 years old, he's the oldest guy in the series, but Tim Duncan has once again led the San Antonio Spurs to the brink of the NBA Finals for the first time since 2007. Duncan again took over in overtime as the Spurs took a 3-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals.

The two-time MVP scored the first five points of overtime for the Spurs and hit Tiago Splitter for a lay up to put San Antonio up eight. He finished the extra frame with seven of his 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Saturday night’s effort comes after Duncan scored six points and made one crucial blocked shot on Marc Gasol in overtime as the Spurs held on for the Game 2 victory.

Duncan was also instrumental in the Spurs' second quarter comeback, as he and Tony Parker combined to 15 points as the Spurs clawed their way back from an early 18 point hole. That came after head coach Gregg Popovich was so frustrated with Duncan and the rest of the starters that he pulled them seven minutes in to the game.

The Spurs now move on to Game 4 where they can close out the Grizzlies and move on to their fifth finals in franchise history. According to Popovich, the Spurs aren't thinking about anything but the next game.

“Game 4 is Monday night,” Popovich said. “There’s no past, there’s no future.”

Game 4 tips off at 9 pm ET from Memphis Monday night and can be seen on ESPN.
