While the Miami Heat may have played their best game of the postseason in Sunday night's Game 3 win against Indiana, it didn't come without cost as point guard Mario Chalmers aggravated a left shoulder injury.
Heat vs. Pacers, NBA Playoffs 2013: Mario Chalmers receiving treatment on shoulder
The Heat point guard aggravated a shoulder bruise he suffered during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Chalmers’ left shoulder was bandaged last night, but was still causing him problems.
Richardson added that Chalmers will receive treatment on the injury at least through the rest of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat point guard initially injured the shoulder during Miami’s Game 1 victory and missed most of the second half.
Chalmers played well in Game 3 despite the pain, scoring 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting. The Heat rebounded from a Game 2 home loss to pound the Pacers in Indianapolis, 114-96. All five starters scored in double figures as Miami was able to pick up the pace of the game.
Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on TNT.
