Paul Pierce has been the Celtics' reliable go-to option many, many times in the playoffs during his illustrious career. With an elbow injury bothering him tonight, though, Pierce has looked a little more like a lion in winter.
Paul Pierce struggling through elbow injury in Game 6
Paul Pierce may be playing his final game as a Celtic, and an elbow injury is making it painful.

Pierce suffered an elbow injury on the below play in the second quarter, in the midst of an awful first half:
Pierce has been getting treatment on the elbow at almost every timeout since, and likely had some significant work done on it at halftime, but the damage may have been done in the first 24 minutes: Pierce was 1 for 10 in the first half as the Celtics failed to top 30 points in the first half for the third time in this series.
While Pierce has been a "better" 1 for 3 in the second half, as Boston has made a better go of it on offense, the Celtics haven't been able to stop the Knicks, and Pierce's inability to man up effectively has been a big part of that.
