Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony told reporters after Friday night's Game 6 win over the Celtics that his left shoulder "kinda popped in and out" after an Avery Bradley steal late in the game.
Carmelo Anthony injury: Knicks star says injured shoulder ‘popped in and out’
Carmelo Anthony has been nursing a shoulder injury since Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. In the Knicks’ series-clinching win over the Celtics on Friday night, he aggravated it.

Asked about the status of his shoulder, Anthony said, “It’s still there” and then laughed, clarifiying that it was a “little sore.” But he kept talking about the shoulder beyond the snappy comeback, eventually saying it “kinda popped in and out a little bit” when Bradley poked the ball away from from behind in the fourth quarter.
Anthony stayed in the game and actually scored the game's next five points despite visibly favoring his shoulder after that play. But Anthony hurt this shoulder in Game 5, and missed practice on Thursday, also telling reporters that it felt like Kevin Garnett "yanked his arm out" in that game.
The Knicks will obviously be somewhat limited if the NBA's regular season scoring leader isn't at full strength going forward; Anthony's 29.2 points per game in these playoffs are second only to Kevin Durant's 33.6.
