Bernard King has Twitter meltdown after critiquing Carmelo Anthony

Legends experience drama on Twitter, too.

Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

You'd think being Bernard Freaking King would allow you to have a wide berth on your basketball commentary, particularly when it comes to the Knicks. Kings does some work for MSG Network; one assumes he is requested to have opinions and whatnot.

Per the New York Daily News' Roger Rubin, King also had some opinions on Twitter on Monday, admonishing New York for failing to play a team game in Sunday's loss to the Pacers and charging Carmelo Anthony to get into the paint if his shoulder hurts so badly. And apparently someone took exception to those tweets, because before long King's Twitter account was deactivated. And King told the media that a friend logged into his account to post the opinions.

The totally valid, fairly tame opinions.

We need J.R. Smith to be a Twitter mentor to everyone. Tweet with no regrets, and never blame a hacker, a friend, a kid or a spurned girlfriend for anything that gets you into trouble. Trolls the haters mercilessly and tweet with no regrets.
