Nuggets GM search: Pete D’Alessandro is one in-house option

The Nuggets have a pair in-house options that are possible candidates to replace Masai Ujiri.

The Denver Nuggets could look in-house to fill their vacant general manager position, according to CBS Sports' Ken Berger. One option is Pete D'Alessandro, who currently serves as the club's vice president of basketball operations.

D'Alessandro has been with the Nuggets for three seasons, but only spent one in his current role. Prior to his time in Denver, D'Alessandro worked in the Golden State Warriors' front office from 2004-08 as a director of basketball operations and assistant GM.

Nuggets director of player personnel Mike Bratz could also be a person of interest to replace Masai Ujiri, who was announced as the new head of basketball operations for the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

Washington Wizards VP of basketball administration Tommy Sheppard and Milwaukee Bucks assistant GM Jeff Weltman, both of whom have ties with the Nuggets organization, could also draw interest, speculates Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears.
