The Toronto Raptors continue to clean house with Masai Ujiri coming in as the team’s new head of basketball operations, firing team vice president Ed Stefanski.
Raptors fire Ed Stefanski after Masai Ujiri hiring, according to report
Masai Ujiri wants a new crew in the Toronto front office, firing former Nets and 76ers GM Ed Stefanski.
The news comes from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:
In Masai Ujiri's first move, Ed Stefanski -- who held the GM title in Toronto -- has been let go, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Stefanski had served as a member of the team’s brain trust under Bryan Colangelo, who was demoted to a non-basketball position with the league’s Executive of the Year coming in. Ujiri had not worked alongside Stefanski in his first stint with the team before he left to take a job with the Nuggets in 2010.
You might have forgotten Stefanski was involved with the Raptors. The one-time University of Pennsylvania player had held jobs under Rod Thorn with the New Jersey Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, serving as GM in Philadelphia from 2008 to 2011. After being fired by new Sixers management, Stefanski was on the market for about two weeks before taking a job under Colangelo in Toronto. Now, he’s once again looking for work, although Wojnarowski doesn’t think it will take him long.
Stefanski had a year left on his Raptors contract. Well-respected around the NBA, Stefanski won't be a free agent long.
