Eighteen-season, 19-year NBA veteran Grant Hill announced his retirement on Saturday. Hill announced his decision on Inside the NBA on TNT, prior to the start of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers.

Grant Hill announced his retirement from the NBA on Saturday, at 40 years old.
Hill was the third overall selection in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. He spent six seasons with the Pistons, during which he was named the NBA co-rookie of the year and was named an NBA All-Star four times. He also played for the Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and most recently, the Los Angeles Clippers.
With those teams, Hill added another three All-Star appearances. Over the course of his 18-year career, Hill was an All-NBA First Team selection once and an All-NBA Second Team selection four times. He averaged 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals over his career.
Injuries limited his production in the end, with his years playing for the Magic particularly notable in that vein. But he did pick his production back up with the Suns later on in his career. Many still consider him a future member of the Hall of Fame.
