The Philadelphia 76ers aren't likely to hire a new coach to replace Doug Collins until after the 2013 NBA Draft on June 27, according to John Mitchell of The Inquirer.
Sixers coaching rumors: Philadelphia will reportedly wait to hire new coach until after NBA Draft
The 76ers are taking their time with their coaching hire and will likely not hire a new coach until after the NBA Draft on June 27.

Philadelphia recently hired Sam Hinkie to be its new president of basketball operations and general manager. Hinkie is taking his time with the hiring of a new coach and believes a coach is “secondary in the process” because Hinkie has an understanding of what type of player the Sixers need to select in the upcoming draft. Philadelphia has the 11th pick in the draft.
According to the report, Hinkie isn't likely to have interest in George Karl, who was recently fired by the Denver Nuggets. While Karl is a good coach, the thinking is Hinkie would prefer a younger coach that can grow with what will be a relatively young team the next few seasons.
One name which has been brought up as a possible candidate is Miami Heat assistant David Fizdale. Fizdale also doubles as the Heat's director of player development.
