Kevin Durant and Kevin Love became the first players from the 2012 gold medal-winning USA team to commit to playing in the 2014 FIBA World Championships in Spain. The All-Stars announced their decision to play for the Americans on Wednesday at the Team USA training camp that includes an extended list of younger stars, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reported.
Kevin Durant and Kevin Love to play for Team USA in World Championships
As the USA national men’s hoops team goes through a camp to get a look at younger players, two roster spots have already been filled.

Durant and Love already have a history with the men’s national team. Not only did they play large parts in USA’s gold medal in London last year, but their experiences began with the 2010 World Championship squad that won behind Durant’s MVP-earning performances. The duo could very well go on to be the starting forwards for Team USA at the 2016 Olympics.
Head coach Mike Krzyzewski is currently running 28 younger players through training camp in Las Vegas, many of whom are second, third and fourth-year NBA players.
