The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a two-year contract with forward Elias Harris, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Harris's agent told Wojnarowski that the deal includes a "significant" guarantee in the first year, a strong sign that he's a candidate for the regular season roster.

The former Gonzaga Bulldogs' signing comes on the heels of a strong performance in the Las Vegas Summer League where Harris averaged 10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game on 44.7 percent shooting from the field. Harris should give the team a younger, developmental option behind free agent signings Nick Young and Wesley Johnson after losing Earl Clark in free agency.
The 6’8, 240-pound small forward came from Germany before attending Gonzaga. Harris averaged 14.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game on 50.1 percent shooting from the field as a senior, but isn’t yet a competent three-point shooter (he made just 17 percent of his attempts last season).
