Gerald Henderson is finally off the free agent market. The three-year swingman is finalizing a four-year, $18 million contract with the Charlotte Bobcats that includes a player option in the final season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Henderson entered the market as a restricted free agent, but now will head back to Charlotte for the only pro team he’s ever known. Henderson averaged a career-high 15.5 points per game for the Bobcats last season on 44.7 percent shooting. He also tallied 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Henderson’s biggest improvement may have been at the three-point line. After never shooting better than 23 percent from deep, the 25-year-old swingman set a career mark by hitting 33 percent of his triples.
Henderson was the Bobcats' second-leading scorer last season behind Kemba Walker. It's the second big move Charlotte has made in free agency, after signing former Utah Jazz big man Al Jefferson to a $41 million deal earlier in the offseason.
