Tyreke Evans is a restricted free agent after spending the first four years of his pro career with the Sacramento Kings, but the 23-year-old is reportedly ready for a change of scenery. The New Orleans Pelicans presented Evans a four-year, $44 million offer sheet earlier this week and Evans is hoping the Kings won't match it, according to ESPN's Marc Stein and Jeff Goodman.

Whether Evans will get his wish remains to be seen. The Kings are situated with cap room after rescinding a four-year, $52 million offer to Nuggets free agent swingman Andre Iguodala on Tuesday night because the team wanted a quick answer Iguodala wasn't ready to give. The Kings also used the No. 7 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft on shooting guard Ben McLemore, who would slide nicely into the spot Evans is vacating, should he sign in New Orleans.
Evans, the 2010 Rookie of the Year, averaged 15.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Kings last season, all career-low marks. In New Orleans, he would join a promising young core that already features Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon.
