Sacramento Kings restricted free agent Tyreke Evans has agreed to a four-year, $44 million offer sheet with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to ESPN's Marc Stein and USA Today's Sam Amick.

Tyreke Evans has agreed to a four-year, $44 million offer sheet with the Pelicans. The Kings have the ability to match the offer if they so choose.
The Pelicans made Evans their priority from the start, meeting with the 23-year-old at the outset of free agency. New Orleans presented Evans with the offer sheet at the meeting, and after a few days of deliberation, the 23-year-old has verbally agreed to sign.
The Kings have the right to match, and they may do just that after pulling the four-year, $52 million contract offer to Andre Iguodala on Tuesday night. Sacramento did draft Ben McLemore with the No. 7 pick in the draft, and he would slide nicely into the void left by Evans if he goes to New Orleans.
Evans reportedly has said that he hopes the Kings don’t match the offer, although his representatives have denied that rumor.
Evans has been somewhat of a disappointment after winning the 2010 Rookie of the Year award, but he’s still young and has a ton of potential. He averaged 15.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Kings last year.
If Evans goes to New Orleans, he'll join a talented backcourt that already features Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon. Evans could play the 3 in that arrangement, although Gordon could potentially be moved.
