New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony isn't giving any insight into what he may do following the 2013-14 season, when he could potentially become a free agent.

Keeping a low profile isn’t easy when you’re one of the NBA’s biggest stars, but Carmelo Anthony has watched from afar this summer as his team works to build around him.

“I can’t do that,” Anthony told ESPN.com while in Las Vegas serving as a coach for his summer program. “It’s too tough right now.”
The six-time All-Star can opt out of the final year of the remaining two he has left on his current contract with the Knicks, and as speculation mounts as to where he’ll end up, he’s been keeping things quiet while appreciating what the organization has done to build around him.
"I've been staying under the radar," he added. "I let them do what they do. We got [Metta World Peace], and I think [Andrea] Bargnani was really a steal for us. He'll help us spread the floor. We got J.R. [Smith] back and we kept the core guys together."
Most recently, the Knicks added World Peace after he was amnestied by the Los Angeles Lakers as well as acquired Bargnani, who never matured into a player who warranted the No. 1 overall pick. The big man could see a resurgence without the pressure of being a top option as a scorer.
The Brooklyn Nets had a busy offseason across town and acquired Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to complement Deron Williams and Brook Lopez. Anthony was mum on the subject, but undoubtedly knows it will be a difficult task to out-duel their intra-city rivals. Likely for that reason, he was measured in his response to what they've done.
