The Portland Trail Blazers continue their busy offseason as they overhaul one of the least productive benches in the league last year. ESPN's Marc Stein reports the Trail Blazers have agreed to a deal with back-up point guard Earl Watson.
NBA Free Agency: Earl Watson signs with Portland
Watson’s deal comes as the Trail Blazers continue to bolster a bench that was one of the league’s thinnest last season.

Watson played 48 games for the Utah Jazz last season, averaging 2 points and 4 assists in 17 minutes per game. He'll likely serve as Portland's third point guard behind Damian Lillard and incoming rookie C.J. McCollum, and could see time alongside both.
Earlier in the day, the Blazers added Dorell Wright to serve as the primary back-up to Nicolas Batum. They also acquired center Robin Lopez in a three-way trade that sent Tyreke Evans to New Orleans and Greivis Vasquez to Sacramento. Additionally, they added shooting guard Allan Crabbe out of the University of California.
Those moves bolster a bench whose top scorer last year was Meyers Leonard, who averaged 5.5 points per game. Portland finished last season at 33-49, good for 11th in the Western Conference.
