NBA free agency rumors: Bucks mull over Brandon Jennings’ demands for $12 million contract

Brandon Jennings wants a big pay day, and the Milwaukee Bucks are "caving" to the idea of meeting his demands for a $12 million contract, according to the Racine Journal-Times' Gery Woelfel. At this point, Milwaukee has increased Jennings' offer to just more than $11 million.

The twist comes shortly after ESPN's Marc Stein reported Sunday night that the Bucks and Hawks had discussed a sign-and-trade deal that would involve Jennings for Hawks free agent point guard Jeff Teague. With much apprehension, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore reported about Teague joining former Hawks coach Larry Drew in Milwaukee.

And if the Bucks and Jennings are really less than a million dollars apart, perhaps a return to Milwaukee is all the more likely. After all, fellow backcourt mate Monta Ellis is receiving heavy interest from the Sacramento Kings, which would make a commitment to Jennings the next move.

The market value for ball-dominating guards, as usual, has already been set higher than expected. Ellis could garner $11 million a season from the Sacramento Kings, and Tyreke Evans is set to make $11 million per season when he's dealt from the Kings to the Pelicans in a sign-and-trade.

It agreed to sign shooting guard O.J. Mayo to a three-year, $24 million deal. The Bucks then came to terms with swingman Carlos Delfino with a three-year, $10 million contract and center Zaza Pachulia to a three-year, $15.6 million agreement.
