Free agent shooting guard Anthony Morrow has reached a two-year contract agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports. The contract includes a player option in the second year of the deal.

Morrow split last season between the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks, and struggled to find playing time with both teams. He fought a hip injury early in the season before Atlanta traded him to Dallas to avoid the luxury tax.
Morrow, who turns 28 years old in September, will be headed to his fifth different team in six seasons. Before getting lost in the shuffle last season, he had proven himself to be a capable three-point shooter. Morrow shot above 42 percent from three-point territory his first three years in the league, and averaged a career best 13.2 points per game in 58 contests for the Nets in 2010-11.
Morrow is the Pelicans' second acquisition of the free agency period. New Orleans previously added Tyreke Evans via a three-team trade.
