The Toronto Raptors have come to terms with free agent forward Tyler Hansbrough, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Although Toronto has not yet released the financial terms of the deal, Spears says that it is a two-year contract.

While he’s not a major splash in terms of a marquee name, “Psycho T” could make Toronto one of the league’s toughest teams.

The Raptors showed interest in the 27-year-old, tough-minded player who has made a name for himself by doing the dirty work throughout his career. He played in 81 regular season games for the Indiana Pacers last year and averaged 7.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.2 percent from the field.
He will join a frontcourt that includes Jonas Valanciunas, Amir Johnson and Quincy Acy.
New general manager Masai Ujiri is dealing with a roster in a state of flux as Toronto continues to overhaul its personnel. Rudy Gay is the new face of the franchise, and a player like Hansbrough is a sound complementary piece who can fill an important niche with his willingness to do whatever the team needs.
