The Detroit Pistons and forward Josh Harrellson have reached a two-year agreement on a contract that will include a team option in the second year, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Josh Harrellson has been a journeyman since being drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in 2011. After the Pistons signed him to a two-year deal with a team option on Tuesday, he’ll look to hang his hat in the Motor City for awhile.

The deal is reportedly only partially guaranteed according to the report and will likely be for the veteran's minimum. Harrellson last played in the NBA on a 10-day contract for the Miami Heat in January 2013. Before that, he spent time with the New York Knicks after being drafted by the New Orleans Hornets.
In 43 career NBA games, he’s started four and and averaged 4.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 13.3 minutes. A three-year player out of the University of Kentucky, he’ll help add frontcourt depth to a new-look Pistons squad that finished 20th in rebounding and 24th out of 30 teams in points per 100 possessions with a mark of 108.1.
He'll try to find room in the rotation behind incumbents Greg Monroe and Josh Smith, and will likely find himself in a reserve role alongside fellow big men Charlie Villanueva, Andre Drummond and rookie Luigi Datome.
