The Knicks currently have 14 players under contract for 2013-14 and a potential luxury tax bill that exceeds $32 million, but they've recently expressed some interest in Lou Amundson and Hamed Haddadi.

The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in Lou Amundson and Hamed Haddadi. In fact, there are quite a few players competing for a roster spot with the Knicks.

Amundson, a 30-year-old forward who played 39 games last season between the Timberwolves, Bulls and Hornets, is being pursued by other several teams as well, and he will make his decision next week, according to Jared Zwerling of ESPN New York. The Knicks also have a scout at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship reportedly watching Haddadi and Chinese big man Wang Zhelin, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Haddadi has led the undefeated Iranian team to the semifinals in the tournament.
New York also recently organized a five-man workout with Bobby Brown, Sean May, D.J. White, Lester Hudson and Lithuanian big man Ovidijus Galdikas.
