LeBron James to produce TV comedy on Starz called ‘Survivor’s Remorse’

Hopefully this goes better than the last time LeBron’s team decided to make a TV show.

USA TODAY Sports

It gets boring being the best at something, so sometimes you have to try your hands at new things. LeBron James, for example, is going to try being a television producer.

He’s signed on with Starz to be one of several executive producers on a show to tell a story only he can tell, in a comedy series called “Survivor’s Remorse”:

The series will explore the complexity, comedy and drama of an experience that everyone reads about, but few understand -- what truly happens when you make it out. Through a combination of God-given talent and north Philly grit,Cam Calloway andReggie Vaughn have achieved fame and fortune that neither could have imagined growing up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Philadelphia. But success comes with its own challenges, and the cousins and confidantes wrestle with the rewards of money, stardom, love, and occasionally, the guilt of having "made it."

Survivor’s Remorse will join the packed Starz TV lineup that features such shows as ... well, it’ll join their TV lineup.

He’s got decent company: He’ll work with Tom Werner, the head of Fenway Sports Group and a producer of TV shows like The Cosby Show, That ‘70s Show and Roseanne. James has been in business with Werner since 2011, when he invested in Liverpool alongside Werner.

LeBron wants you to know that he watches TV!:

“I have a deep passion for the amazing television being created right now,” said James. “I love ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Magic City,’ ‘Scandal’ and ‘24.’”

24 hasn't been on the air since 2010, and Magic City ... (Googles Magic City, clicks Wikipedia link) (Magic City is an American drama television series for the Starz network) OH, REAL SUBTLE, LEBRON.
