The Washington Wizards began last season with two of their five starters injured and on the bench. Washington should be fully healthy to start this year, considering John Wall ended last season on a tear and Nene is already back practicing with his squad.
Nene healthy, already working out with Wizards in Washington
The Wizards should be much healthier to start this season than they were last year.

The Wizards lost their first 12 games of the 2012-13 season and ended the year with a 29-53 record, as Nene battled through a myriad of injuries and Wall was out until mid-January. Injuries shouldn’t hamper the team out of the gates this year, as Nene is already back in Washington, D.C. and working out with his teammates, according to J. Michael of the Washington Post.
The 6’11 Brazilian big man averaged 12.6 points and 6.7 rebounds -- his lowest averages in each category over the past five seasons -- while dealing with foot and knee issues last year.
Wall, Nene, Bradley Beal, Glen Rice Jr., Martell Webster and Eric Maynor are already working out at the Verizon Center, despite the fact that the Wizards don't officially open camp until Sept. 28.
That should be great news for the Wizards’ hopes this year, though improved chemistry and a lack of season-opening injuries alone might still not be enough to turn last year’s record completely around.
