Free agent Sam Young met with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday amid interest from the Spurs and several other teams, Chris Goff of IndySportsLegends.com reported.

Sam Young is still looking for a team after spending last season in Indiana.

Young played for the Indiana Pacers last season, his third team in three seasons. He appeared in 56 games for Indiana, averaging 2.8 points and 12.4 minutes per game for the Eastern Conference runners-up. His production has dropped each year since 2009-10, when he was a rookie for the Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged 7.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game that season, both career highs.
He spent two and a half seasons with the Grizzlies, who drafted him in the second round of the 2009 NBA draft, and then was traded mid-season to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2011-12. He then signed a free-agent contract to play last season in Indiana.
The Spurs currently have 14 players on their roster and could afford to add one more player. Depth behind Kawhi Leonard at small forward is limited, so it appears Young would fit in San Antonio.
