Jordan Crawford, MarShon Brooks traded to Warriors, according to report

The Golden State Warriors have acquired guards Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks from the Boston Celtics as part of a three-team deal, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. This trade is low-cost move to bolster their struggling backcourt depth.

The Warriors are sending Toney Douglas to the Miami Heat as the third team involved, according to Wojnarowski. Miami will send Joel Anthony, a heavily protected first-round draft pick from the Philadelphia 76ers, and a future second-round pick to the Celtics, per Wojnarowski. Philadelphia's first-round pick is top 14 protected through the next two drafts and will convert into the 76ers' 2015 and 2016 second-round draft pick if it remains protected, according to RealGM.

Golden State also used part of one of their two trade exceptions created from trading Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush to absorb Crawford and Brooks instead of matching salaries, according to Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group.

Crawford is averaging 13.7 points per game on 41 percent shooting, along with a career-high 5.7 assists Brooks has played minimally since being traded to Boston, appearing in just 10 games for a total of 73 minutes, Golden State's depth behind Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry has struggled. Toney Douglas was signed as an unrestricted free agent but was unable to replace Jarrett Jack's productive role from last season.
