The NBA has fined Mark Cuban $100,000 for confronting and "directing inappropriate language" at officials after the Dallas Mavericks loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, the league officially announced. Cuban walked onto the floor to criticize referees following the huge late-game collapse from the Mavericks and the league reviewed the postgame incident. The outspoken Mavericks owner once again took a financial hit.

The Mavericks were up 17 with five minutes left in the fourth quarter but lost by two. The Clippers attempted 11 free-throws over that stretch, outscoring Dallas 23-4 and picking up a huge, stunning comeback victory.

Cuban discussed his desire to be fined one last time before longtime NBA commissioner David Stern retired and had his request fulfilled. The $100,000 fine is the 20th time Cuban has been disciplined by the league. Cuban has taken the fine in stride, however, and even announced he will be donating the sum of his fine to a charity:
