The Boston Celtics expect Avery Bradley to miss "a couple of weeks" with a right ankle sprain, reports Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. Bradley suffered the injury during the second quarter of the Celtics' game against the Miami Heat on Tuesday.
Avery Bradley injury: Right ankle sprain forces Celtics guard out ‘a couple of weeks,’ according to report
The Celtics don’t expect Avery Bradley to return immediately from an ankle sprain.

Boston recently traded MarShon Brooks and Jordan Crawford, depleting their guard depth. The Celtics signed Chris Johnson to a 10-day contract, adding a reserve to their backcourt following the trade and immediately signed guard Vander Blue to a 10-day contract following the injury Tuesday.
Bradley is having a huge year with the increased opportunity while the Celtics rebuild. He’s averaging a career-high 14.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game. The injury is a huge blow for Boston, who have been biding their time without Rondo. Even with their franchise point guard back in the lineup the team is still monitoring him closely by restricting his minutes as he gets back into game shape.
The Celtics are currently four games out of the no. 8 seed in the Easter Conference, going 14-29 under rookie head coach Brad Stevens.
