Memphis is the best team in basketball through 11 games. The Grizzlies improved to 10-1 by blowing out the Rockets at home.
Shabazz Napier schools Nets with filthy crossover

Heat rookie Shabazz Napier didn’t break ankles, but this crossover was so good it did cause two players with a combined 30 years of NBA experience to look completely lost.
You know your handle is good when Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett are so confused that all they can do is try to avoid each other.

LA rapper Kid Ink went to the Clippers game tonight, and of course he got to take a picture with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul before the game started. Except it didn’t go as planned:

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY SportsThe Bulls lead the Clippers by 15 going into the fourth quarter without Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol. Having a sixth defender on the sideline like Joakim Noah can give a team a boost.
Update: Noah is having a ball in Los Angeles. Two important updates:

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY SportsSo that Suns-Celtics game was fun. It looked like the Celtics were going to ride the momentum from this emphatic steal and finish by Jeff Green with a minute to go.
You can just sense 20,000 fans shouting “NOOOOOOOO” as that Avery Bradley crosscourt pass floated aimlessly into Bledsoe’s hands. Green missed a game-winning three on the next possession and the Suns held on for the 118-114 victory. We encourage checking these two teams out more often.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsIt’s not every day that a guard like Tony Allen blocks a big man like Dwight Howard, so of course Allen is going to take advantage of his accomplishment in the proper way.
(Thanks to Chris Vernon for first noting this).

Not the best effort from Eric Bledsoe on this play, but there’s no good reason to ruin a great dunk with a little defense.

Jannero Pargo is generously listed as 11-inches shorter than Dirk Nowitzki. Maybe the Hornets want to think twice about running isolation plays for him in situations like this one.

Justin Ford-USA TODAY SportsLots of fun guards, lots of speed, lots of fast play. The Celtics are fourth in the NBA in pace; the Suns are sixth. Both of these teams like to run and both shoot a ton of three-pointers -- the Suns are taking 26.4 per game, the third-most in the league; the Celtics are taking 25.4 per game, the fourth-most in the league. That’s a good recipe for a high-scoring, back-and-forth game.

Justin Ford-USA TODAY SportsThis is a really strong week of games, but only one features the two teams with the best records in the league. What’s interesting about the Rockets’ hot start is they have ditched the run-and-gun philosophy for a slower, defensive-minded approach. They rank 14th in the league in pace and are first in defensive rating, per Basketball-Reference. On paper, they have more offensive firepower than the Grizz, but Memphis has actually played slightly more efficiently on that end of the floor. This is a great test for both.
*Note: San Antonio-Cleveland is the best game of the night. We all have to make choices and that’s why we have DVRs.
