Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young will make his season debut against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday:
Nick Young to return from injury against Hawks
Young returns after missing the Lakers’ first 10 games due to a thumb injury.

Byron Scott says Nick Young will play tonight vs. Atlanta.
— Baxter Holmes (@BaxterHolmes) November 18, 2014 Young missed the Lakers’ first 10 games due to a torn ligament in his right thumb. Young suffered the injury early in training camp while playing defense against Kobe Bryant. The injury was initially expected to keep the 29-year-old out of the lineup for eight weeks, but he has beaten that timetable.
Young returns to a Lakers team in turmoil after a 1-9 start. Los Angeles is playing historically bad defense and Kobe Bryant is receiving some criticism for shooting too much. The return of Young likely won't help the defense much, but he'll be another offensive threat that should take some of the load off Bryant.
Young averaged a career-high 17.9 points last season on 43.5 percent shooting overall and 38.6 percent from three. The Lakers rewarded him with a four-year, $21 million contract this past offseason.
