NBA schedule 2014: Heat host Warriors, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins meet again

The Miami Heat have won two games in a row without Dwyane Wade, but a third consecutive win will be tough to come by when the Golden State Warriors come to South Beach on Tuesday night.

The Warriors have been one of the most dominant teams in the NBA thus far, boasting a 10-2 record and the top average point differential in the Western Conference. The Splash Brothers have done their thing, but Golden State has gotten excellent contributions from all over, with Marreese Speights being a nice early season surprise.

The Wade-less Heat have gotten right in the last two games against two lower-tier Eastern Conference teams after suffering a blowout loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers. Chris Bosh has come out of his slump to pick up the slack in Wade's absence.

Elsewhere in the NBA Tuesday, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins will square off for the second time in a week. Let's take a look at the full menu of action.

The Warriors weren't at their best in their last game, beating the short-handed Thunder by just five points. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson struggled, but Speights was huge, scoring 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting. Speights has taken advantage of his opportunity with David Lee out, and the big man has a PER of 28.83, which is third best in the NBA. While Wade will miss his seventh straight game, Golden State will have its hands full with Bosh, who has averaged 26.7 points over the last three games. Mario Chalmers is also playing well, with averages of 20.0 points and 6.0 assists in the last seven games.

Kings at Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET

The Pelicans and Kings played last Tuesday, with New Orleans pulling out a 106-100 victory. Davis was superb in the win, putting up 28 points an nine rebounds. Cousins had a great game in his own right, notching 24 points and 17 rebounds. Both players have been phenomenal to start the season for their upstart teams, and Davis is coming off a 43-point, 14-rebound performance in Utah. On the injury front, Eric Gordon is out indefinitely after tearing his labrum and Omer Asik may return from a back injury. Having Asik to help guard Cousins would be a huge plus for New Orleans. Rudy Gay (Achilles tendinitis) is out for Sacramento and Darren Collison (quad contusion) is questionable.

Bulls at Nuggets, 9 p.m. ET

The Bulls have lost seven straight games at the Pepsi Center, and they're hoping their luck will change now that Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol are back on the floor. Rose and Gasol returned to the lineup in Utah on Monday, and they helped the Bulls pull out a 97-95 win following two consecutive losses. Both players are expected to play against a Nuggets team that has won four straight games after a miserable start. Taj Gibson (sprained ankle) is out and Kirk Hinrich (chest contusion) will likely sit out for Chicago, while JaVale McGee is day-to-day with an injury to his surgically repaired leg.

Hawks at Wizards, 7 p.m.

Pistons at Bucks, 8 p.m.
