Luol Deng with a nifty behind-the-back assist

Luol Deng stripped Kevin Martin and finished the play in style with a nice assist to Norris Cole.

Behind-the-back assists aren't necessarily rare in the NBA, but Luol Deng's dish to Norris Cole stands out as one of the best assist behind-the-back dishes of the young NBA season.

The play starts on the defensive end where Deng stripped Kevin Martin and broke out on the break. Instead of trying to go up for the shot with Martin on his hip and Zach LaVine trailing the play, Deng gathered himself, went all the way around his back and dished off to Cole for the layup. Martin stood no chance and was limited to watching the bucket from the baseline after overrunning the play and reaching. The rookie LaVine didn't fair much better, getting spun all the way around by the pass.
