Kevin Durant could return from foot injury Tuesday vs. Pelicans

Durant has gone through a full week of practice and could be ready to return from a Jones fracture in his right foot on Tuesday.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant could return from a foot injury as early as Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman.

Thunder head coach Scott Brooks wouldn't commit to Durant's return when asked if any lineup changes were in store for Tuesday, but Brooks left open the possibility of it happening.

Durant returned to the practice floor last week after suffering a Jones fracture in his right foot in October. The reigning MVP went through a full contact practice on Monday with no reported setbacks, setting the stage for a possible return in New Orleans.

The initial prognosis for Durant's injury was six to eight weeks, and Tuesday is past the six-week mark following the surgery. Oklahoma City is 5-12 and has naturally struggled to score with Durant and Russell Westbrook both sidelined with injuries, but Westbrook returned over the weekend and Durant will soon follow suit.
