The FIBA World Cup pool is finally complete as the association announced on Saturday the inclusion of Brazil, Finland, Greece and Turkey. Teams had been waiting on the final announcement for the wild cards in order to round out the entire field of 24 teams for the tournament that takes place in August and September.

Brazil, Finland, Greece and Turkey have all been included.


The wild card selection process included Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Nigeria, Poland, Qatar, Russia, Turkey and Venezuela. FIBA will do away with the system in 2017 and opt instead for a more traditional qualification phase that will take place over 18 months.
The final pool now includes Angola, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Greece, Iran, South Korea, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.
FIBA 2014 will take place from Aug. 30 to Sept. 14 in Spain. The group draw takes place on Feb. 4 in Barcelona as teams will figure out who they will match up with in the preliminary round.
