NBA All-Star Game 2014 final score: East erases 18-point deficit in 163-155 victory
Carmelo Anthony set an All-Star Game record with eight three-pointers, and Kyrie Irving dropped 31 points and 14 rebounds to lead the East to a comeback victory. Irving edged Melo for the MVP.

Carmelo Anthony set an All-Star Game record with eight three-pointers as the Eastern Conference beat the Western Conference 163-155 in the 2014 All-Star Game in New Orleans. Anthony finished with 30 points to help the East erase a three-game losing streak in the All-Star Game. The 318 combined points scored set an All-Star Game record.
Kyrie Irving also had a huge game, scoring 31 points and dishing out 14 assists, including this vicious stepback jumper. (Via @cjzero).
Irving ultimately edged Melo for the MVP award, but both were instrumental in the comeback.
The East trailed by 18 points in the third quarter before storming back, finally catching the West midway through the fourth quarter. The intensity predictably picked up with the game close down the stretch, but it was the East who came up with the clutch plays, closing the game on a 10-0 run.
Blake Griffin had a big game for the West, scoring 38 points on 19-of-23 shooting. The 19 field goals set an All-Star Game record for most made field goals, and he also added six rebounds. Kevin Durant also had a monster game, nearly notching a triple-double with 38 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
Griffin got off to a superb start, scoring 18 points in the first quarter and helping the West erase an early nine-point deficit. Griffin set an All-Star Game record with nine field goals in the first quarter, with eight of those field goals being dunks. The Clippers star fell just two points shy of Glen Rice's record for most points in a single quarter at an All-Star Game.
The West led by two points after the first quarter, and after a back-and-forth start to the second quarter, they took control. The West used a 19-6 run to surge ahead, with Durant finishing the half on a strong note to take an 89-76 lead into the break. The 165 combined points in the first half was an All-Star Game record.
The West looked like they were going to blow things open at several points during the third quarter, but the East used a 16-0 run to get within two. A Damian Lillard three finally ended a scoring drought that lasted over four minutes before a John Wall layup made it a 126-123 game in favor of the West heading into the final frame.
