Kemba Walker practiced with the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday and the team is hopeful he can play against the Golden State Warriors when it visits Oracle Arena on Tuesday, according to Rick Bonell of the Charlotte Observer. Walker sprained his ankle on Jan. 18 against the Miami Heat and has missed seven games since.

The Bobcats are hopeful Kemba Walker is ready to return from an ankle injury that has sidelined him seven games.

Walker is having a career-year, averaging 18.7 points and five assists per game. Charlotte is currently the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 21-28 record, putting them on pace to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2010 playoffs. A postseason berth would be the second in franchise history since it joined the league in 2004.

Charlotte has gone 4-3 without Walker in the lineup. The Bobcats will end a four-game road trip when they play the Warriors. Ramon Sessions has started in Walker’s place, and has averaged 12.7 points and 6.4 assists over the last seven games. After their game against the Warriors, the Bobcats will be off until Saturday.
