It's been an inauspicious end to the season and possibly the career of Steve Nash. Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters on Thursday that Nash wouldn't see the floor again this season because of a nagging series of injuries.

Nash returned to the court on Feb. 2 of this year but had to sit after playing just four games with continuing nerve issues in his back and leg.
The former Mavericks and Suns point guard has been documenting his journey back to recover with a Web series on Grantland.com, covering the agony of being an aging superstar trying to fight off the injury bug. Nash, slated to make $9.7 million in his final season with Los Angeles next year, recently said he would retire if the Lakers decide to waive him this summer under the stretch provision.
Los Angeles sits a half game above Utah for the worst record in the Western Conference at 22-42.
