Good morning, the Sixers are now officially historically bad
That and more in Friday’s NBA newsletter.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.
LIKE A BROKEN RECORD: The Sixers have tied the record for most consecutive losses at 26. It happened in a 22-point blowout because of course. They can make the record their own on Saturday in what should be one of Philly’s most winnable games the rest of the way: the Pistons at home.
Poor Thad Young says he doesn’t even remember the last time the Sixers won. (It was in January.)
MORE IMPORTANTLY: The Bucks beat the Lakers as Nick Young’s game-tying attempt got blocked by Ekpe Udoh. (Aww, Swaggy.) That moves Milwaukee to 14 wins. Philly remains at 15. With a couple weeks left, the implicit battle for that worst record is going to be tight.
AND NOW, TEAMS ACTUALLY TRYING TO WIN: The Blazers got a big win over Atlanta to stem the bleeding. Likewise, the Clippers rebounded with a win over the Mavericks. Here are all of your recaps.
ENNIS IS IN: Syracuse point guard Tyler Ennis is in. Now let’s see if he’s still in the league in three years, right Boeheim?
CHUCK FOREVER: Charles Barkley drops some jokes about Shaq on the CBS tournament halftime show, Clark Kellogg almost dies laughing. “Spraying diabetes across the world” oh my god oh my god.
BEST FIVES: Drew Garrison looks at the best 5-man units in the league this season. A couple of surprising entries.
D’ANTONI TO ... MARSHALL?: Would Mike D’Antoni coach his alma mater when if the Lakers fire him?
NIGHTMARE FUEL: How can you make the meth-addict San Antonio Coyote look crazier? Rearrange his addled eyes.
OH MAN: NBA on TNT won this Throwback Thursday. And how.
STATE OF GOLDEN STATE: Stephen Curry with an important show of solidarity with coach Mark Jackson.
SHOULD HE STAY?: A close look at where LaQuinton Ross’ game is at as he decides whether to enter the draft.
KNOW YOUR ROLE: Miami’s supplemental pieces have fallen off.
WHIMSY: Mike Tyson highlights set to Street Fighter II music with Street Fighter II sound effects. Glorious.
Have a fantastic weekend. See you next time.
