LeBron James thinks Kevin Durant is the NBA MVP
Miami Heat forward LeBron James said he thinks Kevin Durant has earned the MVP award this season because of his consistency.

After falling to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, Miami Heat star LeBron James, who has won four of the last five MVP honors, said Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has earned the award this season, according to Hot Hot Hoops.
“I think K.D. has had one heck of a season, and if he was rewarded with the MVP, it would be great,” James said. “It would be awesome for him, for his family. It would be a great thing for him. He has played MVP-type basketball. The most consistent basketball player as far as MVP this year. He has put up some great numbers.”
The numbers make it hard to argue against either James or Durant in the MVP race.
James’ averages sit at 27 points, 6.4 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 56.9 percent overall and 37.6 percent from three-point range with four regular season games remaining.

Durant is scoring 32 points per game to go with 5.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds. With four games left in his regular season, he is shooting 50.5 percent from the field, 40.1 percent from behind the arc and 87.5 percent from the foul stripe. What might give Durant the edge is his Thunder’s record, which sits at 57-21 and is better than the Heat’s 53-25 record.
Durant has finished second in MVP voting in three of James’ four award-winning years.
