Good morning, the Blazers kept everyone up late
Rub those eyes awake, everyone. It’s basketball.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.
WOW: First Sunday night of the playoffs, and we get a West overtime game that ends after 1 a.m. Happy Monday morning! Gird thyselves. Two months to go.
YESTERDAY: The four results from yesterday. Click for recaps.
TONIGHT: Two games on Monday night.
Grizzlies at Thunder, 8 p.m. ET, TNT
Warriors at Clippers, 10:30 p.m. ET, TNT
Yep, that’s a 10:30 start in a must-watch series for y’all on the East Coast. Like I said: gird thyselves.
#GETWELLSAGER: In TNT's first action since Craig Sager announced he's receiving treatment for acute leukemia, the sideline reporter was honored several times. The Inside The NBA studio crew and Spurs-Mavs broadcast team wore Sageresque shirts and jackets.
The moment of the day came, however, from Gregg Popovich. After being interviewed by Craig Sager Jr. before the fourth quarter, Pop looked at the camera and expressed his wish that his old nemesis get back on the court as soon as possible. Really touching moment.
UGHVILLE: Al Jefferson “felt a rip” in his foot in Sunday’s loss. He’s been battling plantar fasciitis. He says he’ll keep playing.
UGHTOWN: Patrick Beverley will have an MRI on his right knee Monday morning. That’s the knee in which he tore his meniscus earlier this season.
WELL O.K. HOUSTON: Slim Thug and Bun B did a Rockets-themed “3 Kings” remix for the team’s playoff run. “And watch the cowards start the Hack-a-Howard / cuz they know one-on-one they gon’ get devoured” is an especially hilarious line given what happened in the game.
DEMAR’S DEBUT: DeMar DeRozan’s playoff debut on Saturday did not go as planned. James Herbert with a must-read review.
AT LEAST HE’S HONEST: Sixers owner Josh Harris declares the season a “huge success.” I prefer honesty to him pretending he’s disappointed by the result.
HELPING DERON: Great piece on how Kevin Garnett is helping Deron Williams go easier on himself and become a more stable leader.
GETTING IT RIGHT IN UTAH: Jazz GM Dennis Lindsay talks about the roadmap for the franchise, which sounds like it’ll be a long-term adventure.
WELPVILLE: You know how TNT does those live shots of various attractions in whatever city they are in? In San Antonio, you do the Alamo and Riverwalk. During their Riverwalk liveshot, TNT cameras caught a dude being arrested by a bicycle cop.
BETTER THAN PHISHING: Paul George used his day off on Sunday to go fishing with a buddy. You know, that’s probably the right call.
Happy Monday. Rest up. See you next time.
