Timberwolves’ Dante Cunningham arrested for alleged domestic assault, according to report
The Minnesota Timberwolves acknowledge that forward Dante Cunningham will not accompany the team to Miami and was arrested on domestic assault allegations early Thursday morning.

He is not being held on bail.
Cunningham scored five points in 10 minutes Wednesday night in the Timberwolves' 102-88 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. He won't accompany the team to Miami, where Minnesota faces the Heat on Friday.
The Wolves released a statement acknowledging Cunningham’s arrest.
“We are aware of the matter involving Dante Cunningham and are in the process of gathering more information. Dante will not be traveling with the team to Miami this afternoon. The Minnesota Timberwolves organization takes the matter very seriously and does not condone the type of behavior that is associated with this situation. However, we need to let the legal process run its course, and will have further comment at the appropriate time.”
The forward out of Villanova is averaging 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game this season and has played in all 74 of Minnesota’s games this year, starting five. The five-year pro played for Portland, Charlotte and Memphis before joining the Timberwolves for the 2012-13 season.
