The NBA will award Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford with the Sixth Man of the Year award for the second time in his career, according to sources of ESPN's Marc Stein. It's expected that the league will hand out the award next week, as the Donald Sterling scandal pushed back the scheduled announcement.

Crawford averaged 18.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.7 steals per game in 69 regular season outings this season and because of injury problems in Los Angeles was forced to start 24 games. He shot 41.6 percent from the floor and 36.1 percent beyond the three-point arc this season, and while his volume shooting saw him put up nearly 15 attempts per game, his shot diversity once again proved impactful.
While the award's voting breakdown won't be known until the NBA announces it officially, Crawford, the leading bench scorer in the league, had competition for the honor from Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson, Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris and San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili, among others.
The first Sixth Man of the Year honor won by Crawford came in 2010, when he was a member of the Atlanta Hawks.
The NBA has already handed out the Defensive Player of the Year award to Bulls center Joakim Noah, the Most Improved Player honor to Suns guard Goran Dragic and the Coach of the Year award to Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. The MVP and Rookie of the Year have yet to be determined.
