The Brooklyn Nets protected home court and got on the board in their series against the Miami Heat with a 104-90 victory in Game 3. The Nets had contributions from all around, ending the night with six players in double-digit scoring, and avoided a disastrous 3-0 hole.

The Heat vs. Nets series shifted to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Nets finally got on the board.
Mirza Teletovic was huge for the Nets, spacing the floor while draining three-point shots. Teletovic made four of his seven three-point attempts, scoring 12 points. Andray Blatche was also a key contributor off the bench for Brooklyn, scoring 15 points while grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Brooklyn's three-point shooting as a team was a difference maker in this game. Joe Johnson scored a team-high 19 points, making five shots from beyond the arc. Brooklyn shot a blistering 60 percent from three-point range. The Heat struggled from deep, making just eight of their 24 attempts.
LeBron James started the game off on fire, scoring 16 points in the first quarter, but couldn't maintain his hot start. He scored just 12 points in the second half, finishing the night with 28 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Dwyane Wade couldn't get his shots to drop, shooting 9-of-18 through Game 3. His inability to shoot the three was one of the main reasons Brooklyn was able to sag off of him and protect the paint. Wade missed the two three-point shots he did attempt and often had to pass out of wide-open looks.
The Nets were able to pack the paint on defense while Miami couldn’t find their shooting touch from the perimeter. Add that with Brooklyn’s hot shooting and the Heat were handed their first loss of the 2013-2014 playoffs. Game 4 is Monday in Brooklyn.
