The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat meet for the second consecutive season in the NBA Finals. Here’s the full schedule.
The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat have earned their way to another meeting in the NBA Finals. Gregg Popovich's squad needed six games to drop MVP Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, while LeBron James and the Heat also needed six to beat the Indiana Pacers, 4-2.

The Spurs and Heat went seven games in the 2013 NBA Finals, but the setup for the series that begins on Thursday is a bit different this time around.
Last year, Miami held the homecourt advantage, but San Antonio earned that this year thanks to a league-best 62-20 regular season record. On top of it, the NBA changed the home and away format for the NBA Finals this season. The Spurs start off with two games at home and Miami gets the next two before the final three if-necessary games switch off between the two cities -- Game 7 would be in San Antonio. The 2-2-1-1-1 format is the same as every other playoffs series leading to the finals, which from 1985 to 2013 was played with a 2-3-2 format.
