The Phoenix Suns have come to terms on a three-year, $16.5 million deal, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears.

Tucker, 29, started 81 games for coach Jeff Hornacek last year as the Suns' defensive wing and transition facilitator. Although he only averaged 9.4 points per game, Tucker contributed 6.5 rebounds and shot 38.7 percent on three-pointers, where he was deadly from the corner all season.
Adding Tucker on a smaller deal is both a move to solidify Phoenix’s rotation moving forward and provide consistency under Hornacek’s system. He provides defense on a team that finished the year somewhere in the middle in terms of efficiency, and will draw the opposing team’s best player night in and night out.
The Suns are still a significant amount under the cap, having not yet reached the salary floor. Phoenix will likely be in the market for yet another shooter, most likely a big man after Channing Frye was signed to a four-year, $32 million deal with Orlando on July 7.
