LeBron James expected to decide before World Cup final
The best player in the world should have a decision on where he’s playing next season before leaving for Brazil.

LeBron James is holding the rest of the NBA captive as he decides where he’ll play next season and beyond, but an announcement could be coming soon. James is attending the World Cup final between Argentina and Germany on Sunday, and is expected to announce his free agent plans before leaving for Brazil, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
ESPN’s Chris Broussard cautioned the public not to read anything into James’ vacation:
I'm told James's plan - to fly from Vegas to Miami to Brazil - has been planned for more than a month, and that nothing should b read n2 it
— Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) July 11, 2014 James met with Heat president Pat Riley on Wednesday in Las Vegas while he hosts a basketball camp for top amateur players, but it ended without James giving a commitment. The Cleveland Cavaliers have been heavily rumored to be in the mix with James as well, but have not yet met with the four-time MVP in person. The Cavs were one of four teams James’ agent Rich Paul visited with last week. Paul also met with the Rockets, Mavericks and Suns.
