C.J. Miles has agreed to a four-year, $18 million contract with the Indiana Pacers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The 27-year-old Miles spent the last two seasons in Cleveland and will be expected to provide outside shooting for the Pacers.

Miles averaged 9.9 points on 43.5 percent shooting in 51 games for the Cavs last season. He attempted 4.1 three-pointers per game and made 39.3 percent of them. The shooting guard spent the first seven year of his career in Utah after being selected in the second round in 2005 out of Skyline High School in Dallas.
Miles was limited by an ankle sprain that ended his season on Feb. 19. The high point of his campaign came in a January win over the 76ers when he hit 10 three-pointers to score 34 points.
The signing of Miles comes just as the Pacers have reportedly reached an "impasse" with free agent guard Lance Stephenson, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard. Indiana offered Stephenson $44 million over five years, but he is also reportedly drawing interest from the Lakers, Hornets and Bulls.
The goal for Indiana will be retaining Stephenson while avoiding the luxury tax. Indiana had more than $64 million committed in salary before signing Miles, and the tax line is projected to come in at $77 million. The Pacers do have the option of waiving reserve power forward Luis Scola, who has $4.8 million unguaranteed for next season.
