The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup has arrived, with 24 countries meeting in Spain to determine the best on the planet. Like most of the days in the group stage, there are 12 games on the docket Saturday, with Team USA facing Finland in one of the later games.
FIBA World Cup 2014 schedule: Team USA plays Finland as tournament gets underway
Saturday marks the opening of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, with Team USA taking on Finland in one of the final games of the day.

Team USA may be missing a number of its top players, but they remain the favorite to win gold and shouldn’t have much trouble against a far less talented Finnish squad. Team USA is scheduled to tip off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Host Spain plays in the final game of the day against Iran in the rough-and-tumble Group A. Spain is the top challenger to Team USA for gold, and they should take care of Iran, one of the weaker teams in the group.
France and Brazil, two of the stronger teams in Group A, face off against each other in the marquee game of the day. Both teams are flush with NBA talent, even with Tony Parker and Joakim Noah not suiting up for France. Brazil is loaded with NBA bigs in Nene, Tiago Splitter and Anderson Varejao, which will be a tough test for Les Bleus.
