Kyrie Irving says he’s ‘all good’ after injuring hip in closing seconds vs. Ukraine

The Cavaliers’ star had to leave the game following a hard fall, but later said he would be OK.

Team USA comfortably topped Ukraine to finish off pool play, but received a scare in the closing seconds. Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving fell square on his back while driving through multiple defenders and limped to the locker room.

However, he later tweeted that he was OK and shouldn’t miss much time.

Should Irving struggle, coach Mike Krzyzewski would likely start Derrick Rose in the team’s round of 16 game against Mexico. Rose has struggled in this tournament while trying to regain his form following two knee surgeries. Another option is to shift Stephen Curry to point guard.
